  • Loved the historical events intertwined into the story

    I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book. I loved how the author combined actual historical events with the hero’s and heroine’s past that puts them on opposing sides even as they’re attracted to each other. Hugh is a man of honor and kindness. He’s open to hearing personal criticism and reflect on them, making changes if needed. Grace is passionate, intelligent and has great empathy for other’s suffering. The historical events tying this story together made it interesting for me.
